Brian Peterson

Executive Director/Director of Wrestling

 

At the end of the 2006 school year, Brian resigned his positions of head wrestling coach and science teacher at Auburn High School to launch Reality Sports with Tim Kuykendall. 

Brian was a state wrestling champion and two-time state placer in high school.  He continued his wrestling career at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) in Tacoma, WA, where he won the NAIA national championship in 1994, following a national runner-up finish his junior year.  Those accolades landed him in PLU’s Athletic Hall of Fame. 

Brian has three years of college coaching experience and nine years of high school coaching to his credit.  At Auburn, Brian led his teams to top-10 finishes at the 4A state tournament 6 of his 7 years as head coach.  He coached 29 individual state placers, 4 state champions, and 10 state finalists while at Auburn. 

Brian lives with his wife, Justine, in Lake Tapps, WA (not in the actual lake) with their three children, Marcus, Karli, and Luke.
