Bellevue Middle Schools

Reality Sports is partnering with Jubilee REACH to run the middle school sports programs for the Bellevue School District starting in the fall of 2011. 

Boys and girls SOCCER and BASKETBALL will be offered during the 2011-2012 school year. Additional sports for boys and girls will be added in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 for a full complement of sports programs for the school district by year three. Bellevue middle schools have not had any sports programs since 1985.

Reality Sports and Jubilee REACH will constructively engage idle youth, promote academic success, build life and team skills, affirm positive behaviors and engage parents in the learning and success processes through middle school sports programs.

To give you an example of a Bellevue School in need, Highland Middle School is on academic probation with the Federal Government’s “No Child Left Behind” mandate. Fifty percent of students at Highland MS currently have D’s and F’s. Lacking constructive outlets and supervision, children resort to destructive behavior manifesting in gang, drug and sexual activity. Coaches will engage young middle-schoolers to learn teamwork, create a sense of belonging, and encourage hope for their future and to create positive change at a time when children are most vulnerable and making crucial life decisions.
