Come join Reality Sports for another great spring of freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.  In 2009 Reality Sports freestyle wrestlers came away with 10 tournament titles including the Washington State Kids Freestyle Championship and the Washington State Greco-Roman Championship.  Seventeen individual wrestlers won state titles in freestyle and/or Greco-Roman, with 4 of those wrestlers earning the prestigious Triple Crown award for winning the folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman state titles in the same year.  Come train with the best!

Practices kick off in February with tournaments running from March through May.  Training will include agility training, freestyle and Greco-Roman technique, drilling, live wrestling, conditioning, and mental and spiritual training based on the words and life of Jesus Christ.  Don't miss out on what God intends for us when he says, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31).

2009 CADET/JUNIOR/OPEN WASHINGTON STATE FREESTYLE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Reality Sports Wrestling Club wrapped up a strong spring freestyle season Saturday, May 16th at the Cadet/Junior/Open (ages 15 and up) State Freestyle Championships with a third place club finish.  RS crowned two champions in the Junior division and had nine medalists (top 8) in their respective weight classes.  Bearclaw Wrestling Club out of Covington, WA came away with the team title.  The top 3 individuals in each weight class qualified for a spot on the Washington team to Cadet/Junior Nationals in Fargo, ND in July.  Congratulations to the following RS wrestlers for a super finish to the freestyle season:

2009 WASHINGTON STATE KIDS FREESTYLE CHAMPIONS

2009 WASHINGTON GRECO-ROMAN STATE CHAMPIONS

Reality Sports Wrestling Club captured its second state championship in as many weeks by winning the Kids Freestyle State Championships on Saturday, May 9th in Oak Harbor, WA.  After tying for the Greco-Roman state title last weekend, RS wrestlers rolled to another championship, this time in freestyle, by piling up 76 points.  It was just enough to nip USA Everett Wrestling Club which finished with 74 points.  Reality Sports came away with 7 state champions and 34 wrestlers winning a medal by placing in the top 8 in their respective weight classes.

Four wrestlers completed the third leg of the Washington Triple Crown by winning the freestyle state championship.  They had to also capture the Greco-Roman state championship last weekend and the folkstyle state championship in January to earn the Triple Crown honor and accomplish this difficult feat.

Additional congratulations to state champion, Doug Nichols (Novice 80 lbs), for ranking #2 in "Most Falls in Least Amount of Time" (sometimes called the Gorrarian Award).  Doug pinned 4 opponents in a combined 1 minute 42 seconds to earn the #2 ranking out of the more than 500 wrestlers who competed.

Reality Sports wrestlers had 34 pins on the day in a combined 28 minutes 24 seconds to win the team race for "Most Falls in Least Amount of Time."  Pinning is the name of the game in wrestling!  Great job RS wrestlers! 

2009 WASHINGTON STATE GRECO-ROMAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Reality Sports Wrestling Club won its 9th tournament title of the spring by tying USA Everett Wrestling Club with 76 points for the Greco-Roman State Championship on Saturday, May 2nd in Spokane, WA.  Seventeen wrestlers from Reality Sports went head-to-head with USA Everett's 16 wrestlers to end the day in a tie for the title.
